In a disturbing incident that has shaken the community, a 13-year-old boy in Navi Mumbai has been accused of raping and impregnating his 15-year-old elder sister. The case came to light when the parents visited Vashi General Hospital to terminate their daughter’s three-month-old pregnancy, leading to a medico-legal case (MLC) being reported.
The Horrific Incident
According to the girl’s statement to the police, she claimed that her younger brother impregnated her after they watched porn together. The siblings attempted to have sex for the first time in December last year but were unsuccessful. However, in January, the boy allegedly raped her despite her objections. The matter was only disclosed to their mother after the victim missed her monthly cycle.
Legal Action and Concerns
The boy has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, including sections 376 (rape) and 376(2)(n) (repeatedly raping the same woman) of the IPC, and sections 4, 6, 8, and 12 of the POCSO Act. The case has been transferred to the Khandeshwar police, and the Child Welfare Commission will decide the further course of action in the boy’s case.
This disturbing incident highlights the need for greater awareness and education about sexual abuse, incest, and the importance of seeking help when faced with such situations.
